 Tom Morrow, an aspiring singer/songwriter (living in the North Beach area of San Francisco) suffers from stage-fright every time a particular girl shows up in the audience. When he goes to a hypnotherapist for help, he is thrown into a past/parallel life as nineteenth century pianist, Louis Moreau Gottschalk. While he is in Gottschalk's body, the virtuoso pianist is thrown into the future and into Tom's body. This parallel life time travel continues to occur as events in Tom's life begin to mirror Gottschalk's. The two lives are somehow linked and Tom fears that he is on a collision course with the past.
The band's adventures continue as they encounter Voodoo entities (Loa) and all paths seem to lead to a meeting at the Crossroads that could cost them their lives and maybe even their souls
